This hoe type opener is 1-3/4 inch (45 mm) wide. It has a long wearing high chrome tip that runs at a fairly vertical angle. Soil flows around the tip, rather than being lifted and thrown. This vertical approach also means that it will pull fewer rocks.

This knife has a 3/4 inch (19 mm) welded tip with a carbide insert. It is also available without the carbide insert, 410-KNF-0800.

This Spoon™ opener is 3 inch (76 mm) wide. It is a very easy pulling opener and soil disturbance is moderately low if the working speed is kept at around 4-1/2 miles (7.25 km) per hour. A 2 1/2 inch (63 mm) seed spread can be expected behind this Spoon™.

The 1 inch (25 mm) vertical knives are our longest wearing openers. The high chrome cast tip has a double carbide insert that protects the bottom 2 inches (50 mm) of the tip.
